"Labor Day", 13-year-old Henry Wheeler's story of struggling with the problems brought by adolescence while trying to be the man of the house and take care of his secluded mother Adele. While they are out shopping for school supplies, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, who is both scary and in need of help, and then this man, who turns out to be a fugitive, convinces them to take him with them. The events that take place during this long weekend of Labor Day will shape the rest of their lives."
