The East, an eco-anarchist organization, targets certain companies that engage in corruption and cover up criminal records. Their actions, which aim to make the global elites taste a bit of their own exploitation, quickly gain attention in the mainstream media. Hiller Brood, a private security company, hires Sarah Moss, a former FBI agent, to infiltrate the organization as a protector for VIP clients. Once inside, Sarah develops a close relationship with the group's leader, Benji, and begins to sympathize with The East's ideas and ideals. Caught between two different worlds and roles, Sarah must now make a choice. This film alludes to the Earth Liberation Front, a group that has carried out destructive direct actions against companies causing ecological devastation and has been listed as one of the most dangerous "terror" organizations in the United States. It is one of the highly anticipated independent films of the year.
